The Golden monkey
Golden monkeys live only in China. They are protected by Chinese government. Their fur is golden and a bit grey. Their tails are as long as their bodies. Male golden monkeys are big and strong while the female ones are much smaller. Golden monkeys live in forests which are 2000-3000 meters above sea level. They like living in family groups. They eat fruit, nuts, tree leaves and so on. But now their number is getting smaller and smaller. Our government has built some nature reserves to protect them. We hope more and more people will understand the importance of protecting wild animals. We also hope that people will stop hunting golden monkeys.

My favourite animal is pandas. They are white and black. They like climbing trees and walking in the forests. They feed on bamboo. They are very cute, but now pandas’ situation is becoming very difficult. They are in danger. First, pandas don’t have many babies and baby pandas often die. Second, pandas eat bamboo, but the bamboo forests are getting smaller. To protect animals is to protect ourselves. So we should make a better life for pandas. We can set up natures parks with lots of bamboo so that pandas can have enough food to eat. It is a good idea to raise money for them.
Animals are our friends. They are part of the nature. They are very important. And we can’t live in the world without animals. So we should be kind to them. But some people cut down lots of trees and kill some rare animals to make money, so some animals are in danger now. In order to keep the balance of the nature, we should stop people from killing them. It is our duty to protect animals. And in fact, protecting animals is protecting ourselves./ to protect animals is to protect ourselves.

众所周知现在产于中国的野生动物越来越少了。野马 、高鼻羚羊、糜鹿等10余种动物已经完全绝迹，而大熊猫、长臂猴、老虎、野象、白鳍豚等十几种野生动物正面临灭绝的趋势！由于一小部分的人的无知，贪婪，愚昧，到处捕杀动物使得地球生态不平衡，造成了不可估量的损失！
自然界的变化和人类的人为活动也是有关系的，如战争、资源开发、人口增长及农村城市化等，造成了生存环境恶化，使得动物资源又一次遭到严重的'破坏，濒危的野生动物日益减少。人们随意破坏生态平衡，大量捕杀动物，把捕到的猎物一一卖给饭店、宾馆、酒楼等，然后做成菜，再已高价卖给食客进行食用。饭店、宾馆、酒楼就为了钱杀死了这么多无辜的生命，满足某些人的嗜好。人们啊，醒醒吧！保护动物也就是保护我们自己。杜绝乱捕乱杀，让我们和动物生活在同一片蓝天下。
让我们从小做起，保护野生动物，关心野生动物，让更多人都能投到保护野生动物的行动中来。
