英语有时候真是莫名其妙，你觉得你明明懂了，可实际上你又没有懂。所以，今天我想讲几件轶事，都是因为没有理解听到看到的东西而闹出的笑话。也许，从他们的经验中，你也可以学到一些东西。
第一个故事发生在秘鲁，一位美国妇女在餐馆里用餐。她问服务员：
Excuse me. Where could I wash my hands?
服务员把她带到洗手间，可不巧，正有一些工人在粉刷洗手间的墙壁。工人们一看有人要用洗手间，就准备离开。服务员拦住他们，说：
That’s Ok. Stay. She only wants to wash her hands.
在英语里，wash my hands实际上是上厕所的委婉说法。
那个服务员按照字面意思理解，结果闹了笑话。
还有一次，一个留学生在国外的学校第一天上学，心里又兴奋又紧张。一个美国人见到一张新面孔，为了表示友好，就问：
Hi! What’s the good word?
留学生一听到这个，立刻傻眼了，他想，
My God! I don’t know the good word. I’ve studied English for years, but no one told me about the good word!

Summer is my favourite season. Because in summer we have summer vacation.In the summer vacation we can go to the beach and swim a long time. At home we use air-conditioner and eat very sweet and forzen ice-cream. Summer is so cool. The weather is hot and sunny. The sun is shiny. Summer is very super.
In fall we can see farmers are busy. The air is clean. The Halloween and Thanksgiving are in fall. And leaves are colourful. It is suitable for going hiking. I like fall so much.
Winter is too clod for me. We put on coat and gloves.But we are happy. Because we can make a snowman. And it is beautiful.

我们班的`老师在讲课的时候都讲的栩栩如生，然而在上下课时却非常的“慢”。例如：今天上午第四节课是语文课，可是上课的铃声过去了许久，还是不见老师的身影。不知问自己多少次“为何黄老师也慢了，真闹心！”就在这时，班上的捣蛋鬼唐某和赵某在教室里打起了口水仗，他们你一句我一句的，听的我儿朵都要长茧子了。
终于，班长到办公室叫老师了，可班长给我的结果简直是晴天霹雳——上数学。随之，数学老师迈进了教室，我们只好无可奈何地拿出了数学书。
我们班的老师除了一个“慢”还在占课，这可就要数“Einglishmiss张小姐”——英语老师了。
太好了，这节课是电脑课，又可以痛痛快快的玩一节电脑了，心里正在美滋滋地想着，可英语老师的出现让我有点无语……老师却笑盈盈的对我们说：“今天没电了，上英语课，”我们全班同学几乎倒下。
我希望老师可以按时上课，给我们一个好的学习心态。

我们学校的“大嘴巴英语节”到了，这一天，我们班的同学有的带玩具，有的带水果，还有的带图书…真是丰富多彩啊！
下午一到，我们便秩序井然地排好了队，带好了物品，下楼到了大操场。那儿已经有很多班级准备好了。我们坐在了塑料袋和书本上，将物品依次取出，排成一长排，一切准备好后，第一场拍卖会便开始了，我们当商人，让其它同学来买。当我转身看后面时，发现后面的人就像蚂蚁一样，黑鸦鸦的一片直奔而来！等了半天，没一个来买我的玩具，吴雨婕等不及了，大声吆喝，突然有一个小朋友走过我们面前，嘴里还说：“太幼稚了！”又过了一会儿，有几位小朋友睁着大大的眼睛，仔细地找着他们想要的东西，这时，吴雨婕向一位男同学叫道：“走过不要路过，千万不要错过！”男同学一惊，啪唧一下倒在了地上，笑得前仰后合，嘴中含含糊糊说：“我从来没见过这样的高人！”说完就走进了杂乱的人群中。
第二场拍卖会是我们当买东西的人，我们一听到这人消息，立刻将杂物乱扔进了布袋里，准备去“购物”。购物会开始了，我和我的朋友一起手挽着手走进了人海中，走了一圈，我还没找到自己想要的东西，于是，第二次，我又走了一圈，终于找到了一个蓝色的，上面画有一只大白熊的“修正带”首先，我对那个男孩说：“Howmuchisit？”那个小男孩抬起头，从头到脚打量了我一番，拿起修正带，沉思片刻说道：“It’ssixyuan。”我想也不想，就把钱包打开，说道：“Ok。Hereyouare。”他一声不响地从衣袋里摸出一张皱巴巴的“买”卡，我又随即拿出了“卖”卡，后来再想，这笔交易太不合算了，我应该和他说能不能五元或四元才对，可是，已经迟了，那个小男孩走了，因为拍卖会结束了。
拍卖会结束后，老师带着满面笑容的同学们回到了教室。
